REGISTERED NURSE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive healthcare for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Ensure physicians orders are implemented as instructed and offer continuous supervision for treatments and therapies as directed.
- Develop and update assessments, care plans, and protocols as required to meet the unique needs of each person.
- Assist the ISP team in determining the need for assessment and monitoring by other healthcare professionals (PT, OT, Dietary specialists, etc.)
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate and train DSP staff to perform delegated nurse tasks per OSBN regulations and CAS policies, including G-tube procedures, insulin delivery and glucose monitoring, and other medical tasks identified.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery and outcomes.
- Demonstrate professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions with individuals served, families, and colleagues.
REGISTERED NURSE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Oregon.
- Good standing with the Oregon Board of Nursing
- Ability to perform physical requirements, including lifting approx. 50 lbs.
- Successful completion of a level II background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
