Oasis Ascent is a short-term residential treatment program for teenagers located in Millcreek, Utah. The families we serve are in crisis and need support keeping their child safe right now. At Oasis Ascent, we provide thorough assessment, around-the-clock secure care, and intensive support to young men and women. We provide a safe setting for adolescents to stabilize where they and their families meet with licensed clinicians to determine the underlying causes of distress and what next steps make the most sense for their needs.
We are looking for a reliable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Nursing Department. You will work under the supervision of our Director of Nursing and collaboratively across departments, particularly with our residential and clinical staff. Our RN must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient, calm, and keenly observant. The goal is to provide the best care possible to our students and their families in a professional, ethical, supportive environment where the highest standards of care are met. This way, our entire program is working to the benefit of the Oasis Ascent team and our students alike.
Responsibilities- Monitor students and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
- Observe and interpret students' symptoms and communicate them to physician and their therapist
- Collaborate with integrated care team to develop individualized care plans for patients
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and maintain all required documentation
- Adjust and administer students' medications and provide treatments according to physician's orders
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
- Respond to medical emergencies
- Provide first aid within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse

Requirements
Please ensure your resume includes education, work experience, certifications, and licenses
- Current Registered Nurse in the State of Utah with no history of misconduct
- Must possess clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Must work well in a team environment
- Must be positive, professional, and reliable
- BLS and First Aid certification (may obtain this within 30 days of hire)
- Must have experience with passing medications to multiple patients
- 12+ months of experience
- 21+ years of age
- Able to pass criminal investigation background check
- Eligible to work in the USA
- Able to pass motor vehicle record check
- Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
Preferred
- Professional experience in residential treatment setting
