Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) with Hope Christian Services, you will play a key role in providing high quality nursing care to our residents across their lifespan. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of healthcare professionals and make a positive impact on the health and well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
· Assess patients' health needs and develop individualized nursing care plans based on assessment findings and evidence-based practice.
· Implement nursing interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and patient education.
· Monitor patients' health status and respond promptly to changes in condition, collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective care.
· Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records or other medical documentation systems.
· Provide compassionate and culturally sensitive care to patients and their families, fostering a supportive and healing environment.
· Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, medications, and self-care strategies to promote health and wellness.
· Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and interdisciplinary treatment plans.
· Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice projects, and continuing education activities to enhance nursing practice and promote patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
· Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
· Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
· Previous nursing experience in acute care, long-term care, or specialty area preferred but not required.
· Must submit to a criminal background check and be deemed qualified by the Department of Human Services prior to hire.
· Shall submit to drug testing prior to employment as well as randomly and for cause.
Must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Child Abuse Registry Information.
