Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Care. Interim Healthcare of Delaware
Interim Healthcare is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to work in the field in New Castle County. Example of schedule would be 2-3 days/week doing hourly PDN work and 2-3 days/week to do Starts of Care, Resumptions of Care, Recerts, med box fills, etc. Some examples of the visits we do on a daily basis are: diabetes oversight in which we check the blood sugar and administer insulin if ordered, foley catheter changes, bolus tube feedings, wound care, trach care, medication administration. We also have visits where the nurse goes out to the home on a weekly basis and fills the client’s medication box and calls in refills when needed. The person for this role should be versatile to do what is needed!

Essential Functions of Registered Nurse (RN):
· Counsels and educates the patient and family in meeting healthcare and related needs.
· Completes timely and accurate clinical notes including addressing patient’s progress.
· Communicates with the physician and other staff of changes in the patient’s needs.
· Able to perform CPR.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· Ability to effectively communication, both orally and in writing, with clinical and non-clinical personnel
· Able to read and interpret technical instructions related to the care of the patient.
· Able to effectively deal with multiple changes based on patient needs and scheduling.
· Proven organizational skills and detail oriented.
· Ability to effectively communication, both orally and in writing, with clinical and non-clinical personnel
· Trach and Vent experience a PLUS
· IV and Infusion experience a PLUS
· Pediatric experience a PLUS
Requirements of Registered Nurse (RN):
· Appropriate license to practice in the State of Delaware.
· At least six (6) months experience within the last five (5) years working in a hospital, home care or nursing home setting within the United States.
· CPR certified
· Negative TB test result
· Pass a background check.
· Provide two (2) professional references.
· Able to travel to cases throughout New Castle County as assigned
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
· Meets the requirements of federal and/or state criminal and abuse background checks.
