Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing and monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications, and assisting with treatments and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment plans.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.
- Assist with pain management techniques and provide emotional support to patients.
- Conduct health coaching sessions to promote wellness and disease prevention.
- Perform triage assessments to determine the urgency of patients' needs.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as acute care, senior care, occupational health, or ICU.
- Ensure proper catheter care and infection control measures are followed.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9 coding.
- Proficient in conducting physical assessments and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Skilled in providing compassionate care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Experience in pain management techniques and administering medications.
- Knowledge of occupational health practices and protocols.
