Our company is currently recruiting for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Milford, DE.
The Registered Nurse (RN) completes assigned nursing related services for each client. They are responsible for nursing assessments, providing routine nursing care, review of medication logs and assisting in overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of the patient in coordination with the attending physician.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in completing the following documentation within 24 hours of the client's admission to the program: Admission Note, Nursing Assessment (LPN/LVN, supervised and signed off by RN) , Pre-Screen Testing, HRS Consent Form, Patient Health Examination
- Transcribes physician's orders and implements all medical protocols as ordered.
- Confers with and assists the medical doctor and psychiatrist.
- Makes appropriate referrals using referral forms.
- Attends and participate in all "in-service" functions.
- Assists with emergency situations and makes immediate referrals
- Provides documentation which reflects services for each client in accordance with licensure standards.
- Maintains the confidential nature of all clients and facility activities.
- Maintains required training and continuing education.
- Maintains Standards of Ethical Conduct.
- Complies with all Banyan Treatment Centers Policies and Procedures.
- Performs any other tasks outlined in accordance with 65D-30.
- Meets with clients requesting to see the provider to determine the urgency of their medical needs and expedite treatment as required.
- Effectively communicates concerns about client's health to the director of nursing and clinical director and follows up as necessary.
- Under the supervision of the nursing director, assists in educating clients about health problems and medical care.
Schedules Available:
- 12 hours shifts, night shift availability is strongly preferred 7pm - 7am
Pay Range:

Bonus:

Requirements
- License to practice nursing in the state of Deleware as a Registered Nurse.
- Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
Preferences:
- A passion for the field of behavioral/mental health
- Work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health is preferred but not required.
- Experience with the EMR, KIPU, is preferred but not required.
The ideal Registered Nurse candidate has nursing experience in acute care, detox, and/or mental health facilities, strong assessment and organizational skills, and is able to prioritize care and communicate with the treatment team. They are able to establish a therapeutic relationship with clients and their families, display good listening and observation skills, exhibit skills sufficient to adequately gather and record client data specific to current and past medical status, and form objective impression of signs, symptoms and patient complaints and their implications concerning treatment planning. Most importantly, they exhibit empathy and are understanding of patient needs.
