Registered Nurse (Rn)

• Assists with the program planning for the ambulatory care nursing activities, participates in quality improvement activities for nursing, and participates in meeting accreditation standards.
• Prepares and submits nursing reports, maintains supplies and equipment, maintains upkeep of nursing area and maintains a safe environment.
• Counsels' patients and/or families in regard to planning continuity of care and implementing physician’s directions in relation to health maintenance, home care, prevention of disease conditions, etc.
• Refers patients to appropriate resources. Provides direct ambulatory nursing services, screens patients and elicits patient history, assesses needs and refers for care, administers medications Operates medical equipment and provides therapeutic treatments.
• Administers simple diagnostic tests, assists with diagnostic procedures, records observations, assessments, intervention on patient’s medical record.
• Oversees Health Technicians or other nursing staff in administering and delivering care. Functioning under established protocols, may order routine x-rays, laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures and consultations; may interpret selected laboratory findings and as appropriate initiate action or refer for further treatment.
• Acts as the lead clinical nurse providing guidance and expertise to the staff they work with. Provides and assists in the provision of emergency treatment and additional duties as assigned.
• Manages and oversees all aspects of the Infection Control Program at the service unit and manages and oversees all aspects of the Employee Health Program at the service unit.

• The RN will work normal business hours 8:00AM – 12:00PM, 12:30PM – 4:30PM, 5 days per week (excluding Federal holidays)
• The Place of Performance shall be the Catawba Service Unit, located at: 2893 Sturgis Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29730-6607
