Brookhaven Hospital is pleased to announce openings for Registered Nurses for both day shift and night shift. Our nursing staff is responsible for direct patient care and supervision of licensed and unlicensed staff on a unit or units, using the nursing process to assess, plan implement and evaluate the care of patients. We are seeking candidates that desire a career in a forward-looking, progressive department that focuses on quality, innovation, and leadership.
SCHEDULE
- 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p or 7p-7a, rotating weekends
- Shift differentials up to $6.25 per hour worked for evenings, nights, and weekends
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans, delegates and supervises duties essential to meeting the clinical needs of patients and administration of the unit
- Coordinates nursing service with other departments
- Maintains quality of service for personal practice and those supervised
- Orients new employees to hospital, unit, policies, procedures, and routine
- Completes Admission Assessment completely and in a timely manner
- Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning process by providing input and collaborating with other team members
- Develops treatment plans that are behavioral, measurable, and realistic based on the individual needs of the patient
- Administers medication and documents patient care according to physician orders, hospital policy and nursing standards, including timeliness of record completion
- Maintains a safe environment for patients, families, staff and visitors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Maintains current competency in CPR, CPI, Blood Borne Pathogen, HAZCOM, Fire & Safety and TB testing per facility policy (mandatory competencies). Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Hospital policy and procedures, including fire and safety plans, risk management, and infection control
- Understands and complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Performs weekend call duty as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- B.S.N. in nursing preferred.
- Valid license to practice nursing in the state of Oklahoma.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods
- May be required to lift or push up to 65lbs
- Requires the ability to read, write, and process information accurately.
