Since its inception in 1980, Hudson Behavioral Health has been providing cutting edge treatment for Substance Use and other co-occurring disorders. Our services include Detoxification, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Partial Hospitalization, Treatment, and 3.1 Housing.
We are looking for a Part Time Mid Shift and Overnight Nurse to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
1. Completion of nursing admission including review of systems and current medication regimen.
2. Establish monitoring needs: blood pressure, weight (edema), blood sugar, infections, cardiac and/or pulmonary status.
3. Establish need for lab work: urinalysis, obtain specimens, document lab results.
4. Refer to community agencies for outside appointments and refer to assessment for transport as needed.
5. Assess acute illnesses and injuries and treat or refer as appropriate with proper follow-up.
6. Assist physician/nurse practitioner. Obtain data as needed for presenting patients.
7. Transcribe verbal orders obtained by physician and record appropriately on MAR.
8. Keep MAR updated with proper documentation.
9. Order prescribed medications and stocked medications/supplies as needed from designated distributor/pharmacy.
10. Administer prescribed medications and treatments to patients.
11. Develop and review Nursing Treatment Plans as needed.
12. Attend organizational meetings as assigned.
13. Maintain a clean and professional working environment.
14. Provided patients with education on their prescribed medications and medication regimen.
15. Listen to patient needs/concerns and report back to the appropriate counselor/ Director of Nursing as appropriate.
16. Provide guidance and supervision to the patients during evening and night shift. The nurse on duty is the "person in charge" during these shifts.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Possession of current RN licensure that is active and unrestricted in the state of MD.
Experience:
Minimum one to three years of nursing experience. New graduates or nurses with less experience may be acceptable if approved by Director of Nursing.
