Registered Nurse, Psychiatry

Responsibilities:
- Assess and triage patients upon arrival, quickly identifying their medical needs
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Perform various diagnostic procedures such as CT scans, gastric lavage, dermal fillers, and spinal taps
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate interventions for airway management and IV infusion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on post-treatment care and follow-up instructions
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Athenahealth
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure patient safety

Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Acute care expertise with a focus on emergency medicine
- Proficiency in ophthalmology assessments and treatments
- Experience working with pediatric patients in emergenciesnce working with pediatric patients in emergency situations
- Knowledge of advanced procedures such as gastric lavage, CT scans, and spinal taps
- Competency in airway management techniques and IV infusion administration

Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ER Nurse or similar role
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
