Position: Registered Nurse

Department: Healthcare Partnership Program

Reports to: Healthcare Partnership Program Manager

Hours Per Week: 20 hours each week

Two 8 hour days in Grand Rapids (Tuesday/Thursday)

One 4 hour day in Belding (Monday, but can be flexible)

Summary: The Registered Nurses (RN) within HealthBar's Healthcare Partnership Program are responsible for providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in primarily a virtual setting. The care team will utilize their clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and compassion to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care for patients of all ages in various healthcare settings both virtually and in person. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, the RN will contribute to positive patient outcomes and promote a culture of excellence within HealthBar.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide care based on HealthBar's Medical Philosophy and uphold the Core Values in all actions.

2. Assess and document patients' overall health condition, including physical, psychological, social, and cultural aspects.

3. Keep everything personal and relatable driving change through conversations and interactions.

4. Key aspects of care include chronic disease management, acute injury/illness care, point-of-care testing, and lab draws.

5. Develop therapeutic relationships with patients to best achieve behavioral change and modification for improved health.

6. Conduct health education classes to increase health promotion, prevention, and literacy.

7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, documenting all patient care interventions and progress notes.

8. Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols, maintain a clean and safe environment, and proactively identify and report any potential safety hazards.

9. Participate in improving healthcare delivery by actively engaging in quality improvement initiatives, research, and professional development activities.

10. Support the well-being and professional growth of colleagues, including assisting with the orientation and mentoring of new staff members, as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.

2. Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).

3. Strong clinical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care interventions.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

5. Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting medical equipment, technology, and computer systems.

6. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and evidence-based practice.

7. Ability to multitask efficiently, work well under pressure, and adapt to rapidly changing healthcare environments.

8. Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care, demonstrating respect for cultural diversity and autonomy.

9. Knowledge of current nursing laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

10. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
