Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking Part-time Registered Nurses to work with the Crisis team and is responsible for delivering outstanding clinical/nursing care for persons with mental illness and substance use disorders. We offer a generous sign-on bonus and benefits. The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a 24-hour, 16-bed facility that offers intensive behavioral health crisis intervention for up to five days. Our team consists of Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, RNs, Medical Assistants, Licensed and Unlicensed Therapists, Case Managers, Milieu Counselors, and Peer Support Specialists.
Shift. The RN will work fully On-site/In-Person. Days of the week are variable shift times are 12 hours and vary between 6:30am - 8:30pm. Self scheduling allows for flexibility in these areas.
$4,200 Sign On Bonus Available! *Not eligible for internal candidates and re-hired employees within 90 days from separation.
Based on part-time (24 hours/week). Prorate if less/more than 24 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on first paycheck, 50% on paycheck following 6-month anniversary.
Salary for this role. wage is based on licensure and company equity.
- $35.84 - $43.14 hourly
Shift Differential Pay. The afternoon or swing shift is from 3 pm to 11 pm.
- Day Weekend (Sat, Sun): $2.50
- Swing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $2.75/hour
- Swing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $3.25/hour
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *rate depends on language requirements for the position and candidate's fluency.
- 5% of base salary up to a maximum of $3,000/year *the annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full time equivalency (FTE).
About you.
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, highly collaborative, possess strong de-escalation skills, and display excellent nursing judgment. Candidates should have an active Registered Nurse license in good standing, previous experience with psychiatric nursing and current BLS certification.
Responsibilities:
- Support the clinical functions of the medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to physician/prescriber.)
- Perform nursing interventions for which an RN/LPN has been trained to do.
- Observe, identify and monitor condition of patient, including changes in symptoms, and relates same to appropriate members of the treatment team.
- Administer injections and medications, as required.
- Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate.
- Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
- In a timely manner, accurately and completely chart interventions, lab results, medications dispensed and all activities related to patient interactions according to organization's procedures.
- Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
- Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
- Staff member will monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the clients care team.
Requirements:
- Associates in Nursing required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Preferred: one year of relevant clinical experience.
- Certification, Licensure: Active State of Colorado Registered Nursing License.
- Ability to administer medications and injections.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Ability to take directives
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record.
