At Heartline Pregnancy Center, we’ve been serving women, men, and babies (born and unborn) in Kosciusko County since 1985. Our primary mission is to equip women and men facing an unexpected or challenging pregnancy with the information, skills, and resources they need to feel confident and supported through pregnancy and beyond. Services include pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound, STI testing vouchers, pregnancy support, prenatal and parenting education, life skills education, fatherhood mentoring, and community outreach programs. All services are anchored in ministering to clients with the love of Christ.

Part-Time / On Call Nurse – Job Description:

Come to work knowing you are making a difference in men’s lives every day! Heartline Pregnancy Center is seeking a part-time nurse (RN preferred, LPN accepted). Primary responsibilities involve providing medical-grade pregnancy testing to clients and discussing questions and concerns; duties could expand to limited obstetrical ultrasound over time (Heartline would provide limited obstetrical ultrasound training in that instance). The nurse will also ensure that all clinical services are done with excellence and according to governing standards. Position is variable part-time, covering when the full-time nurse is unavailable. Weekly shift is 5-7pm on Monday evenings and staff meeting from 11am-12 on Wednesdays. Additional hours vary, from covering occasional vacation/sick days, to potentially cover for a full (33-hour) week when the full-time nurse is gone. Applicant must be committed to use nursing skills in a ministry setting. Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens preferred. 1-2 years OB nursing experience and bilingual skills preferred.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Licensed in the State of Indiana as an R.N. or L.P.N.
• Personal and public pro-life convictions and commitment to represent and live out the mission, principles of service, and values of Heartline Pregnancy Center, Inc.
• Analytical ability to participate in development of policy and procedures, formulate goals, resolve complex management situations and evaluate staff needs and quality of client service.
• Excellent oral and good written communication skills to relate to professional, medical, church, and social service agencies/organizations, as well as volunteers, clients, and donors.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to train and supervise volunteers, work with clients, and influence general public.
• Self-starter with good judgment and integrity.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
