Job Description
Under the direction of the Clinical Director, Urology Associates of Central California (UACC) is currently seeking an Operating Room (OR) Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) to assist in the organization and daily function of the Operating Room.

***$2500 sign on bonus, with a two year commitment!***
Minimum Requirements:
- Current California RN license
- BLS and ACLS
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
Preferred Skills/Experience (aka nice to haves, but not mandatory):
- PALS
- Two (2) years experience as an Operating Room nurse
- Previous pediatric experience
- IV skills
- Ability to circulate and scrub
About the job:
- Assesses patient/caretaker’s understanding of disease process and need for surgical intervention
- Provides perioperative teaching to patient/caretaker
- Reviews surgeon preference card, assesses equipment/supply needs, prepares Operating Room, ensures availability of needed supplies and equipment and proper and safe working order
- Safely administers medication to the patient
- Maneuvers patient position appropriate to surgical intervention, using positioning aids as needed to avoid impaired circulation, respiration, and postoperative pain/discomfort
- Identifies and reports suspected child, spousal/partner and elder abuse
- Demonstrates skill in caring for the latex sensitive patients
- Performs sponge, sharps and instrument counts
- Uses principles of asepsis in required situations
- Assists in the orientation and training of new employees

- Maintains professional relationships with physicians and patients
- Organizes equipment, instruments, medication and supplies for cases according to patient needs and physician preference cards
- Assumes responsibility for competency and takes initiative for professional development and continuing education
- Demonstrates a willingness to look at new ideas and work in a changing environment
- Understands, verbalizes and participates in the quality improvement process
- Adheres to the recommended traffic patterns and required attire in the Operating Room
