What you will be doing:
The Staff Nurse is responsible for completing assigned nursing related services to each client and for linking clients to the physicians and to outside medical resources. They inform the clinical team about medical issues and are available for emergency medical situations. The Staff Nurse provides all services under supervision of the Director of Nursing, Nurse Supervisor, or Clinical Director. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assisting with medical and history screens, providing routine nursing care, and assisting the medical team in overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of the client in coordination with the attending physician.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Assist in completing the following documentation within 24 hours of the client's admission to the program: Admission Note, Nursing Assessment (LPN/LVN, supervised and signed off by RN) , Pre-Screen Testing, HRS Consent Form, Patient Health Examination
- Transcribes physician's orders and implements all medical protocols as ordered
- Confers with and assists the medical doctor and psychiatrist
- Makes appropriate referrals using referral forms
- Attends and participate in all "in-service" functions
- Assists with emergency situations and makes immediate referrals
- Provides documentation which reflects services for each client in accordance with licensure standards
- Meets with clients requesting to see the provider to determine the urgency of their medical needs and expedite treatment as required
- Effectively communicates concerns about client's health to the director of nursing and clinical director and follows up as necessary
- Under the supervision of the nursing director, assists in educating clients about health problems and medical care
- Facilitates medication education for new clients and for all other clients starting new medications
- Meets with therapists to provide information about client medical problems
- Assists the treatment team in incorporating medical issues into treatment planning
- Takes verbal orders from the Doctor or Clinical Director, documents them in the client record, and carries them out accurately and professionally
- Provides routine nursing care under the supervision of the medical doctor/provider
- Participates in regular meetings with Clinical Director to discuss specific client problems
- Maintains effective communication between outside medical services and the facility
- Has good work habits; gets things done in a timely, efficient manner with no excessive absences, is on time for scheduled shifts, and is prepared to begin work
- Understands the DEA regulations and works closely with Compliance to order and stock medications in accordance with DEA requirements

Additional information:
- 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (Night Shift with additional $5/hour shift differential)
- RN: $40-$45/hour plus $5 shift differential shift differential
- LPN: $35-$40/hour plus $5 shift differential
- Weekly Pay-Cycle-Pay Day is Every Friday
