Responsibilities:
- Responsible and accountable for delivering professional nursing care to assigned patients within a designated timeframe.
- Utilizes the nursing process to formulate nursing diagnoses and set expected outcomes.
- Assigns tasks based on the competency levels of team members.
- Coordinates patient care by utilizing available resources and optimizing the environment.
- Collaborates with various healthcare team members in accordance with standard nursing practices and the policies of Henry County Medical Center.
- Caters to a diverse patient demographic including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric groups.
- Excludes care for neonates in surgical settings and neonates, pediatric, or adolescent patients in psychiatric settings.
Education:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse licensed in Tennessee, Kentucky or appropriate through the compact state licensure criteria qualifications.
- Current BLS Certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS or must obtain within 12 months of hire.
- Current PALS or must obtain within 12 months of hire.
- CPI Training preferred within 12 months of hire.
