Job Description: Registered Nurse, MedSurg

Location: Chambersburg, PA

Blended Rate: $63.88 hourly - $2,300 weekly

Shift: 3x12s - 36hrs/wk -Nights

Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic MedSurg Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Chambersburg, PA. As a MedSurg RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to a variety of patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote and maintain their overall health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• - Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care plans for patients in a MedSurg unit.
• - Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic information to assess patient conditions accurately.
• - Administering medications and treatments as per physician orders and documenting all interventions promptly and accurately.
• - Identifying and promptly reporting changes in patient status or conditions to the appropriate healthcare professional.
• - Collaborating with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare team members to develop and modify individualized care plans and ensuring safe and effective patient care.
• - Educating patients and their families about disease management, medications, and post-discharge care.

Requirements:

• - Valid and current RN license in the state of Pennsylvania or Compact.
• - Minimum of two years of experience working as an RN in a MedSurg setting.
• - BLS and ACLS certifications.
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• - Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and provide efficient care in a fast-paced environment.
• - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess patient conditions, identify appropriate nursing interventions, and make sound decisions.
• - Demonstrated proficiency in electronic medical records systems and computer literacy.
• - Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
