Job Title: Med/Surg Float Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Geneva, NY

Salary:

- $3600 Weekly (48hrs)

- $2700 Weekly (36hrs)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Med/Surg Float RN to join our esteemed healthcare organization in Geneva, NY. As a Med/Surg Float RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to diverse patient populations in multiple units, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort.

Responsibilities:

- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, collect and analyze medical data, and develop individualized care plans based on the findings.

- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, and modify care plans as necessary.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers, to provide high-quality and efficient patient care.

- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.

- Document all patient interactions, procedures, and medical records accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.

- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making necessary adjustments to the care plan to ensure optimal results.

- Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control practices, and safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment.

- Provide emotional support and address the psychosocial needs of patients and their families.

- Remain up-to-date with advancements in medical technology, treatments, and nursing techniques through continuous education and professional development.

Qualifications:

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and possession of a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a hospital setting.

- Experience working across multiple medical/surgical units is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and proficiency in computer skills.

Skills/Competencies:

- Excellent physical assessment and critical thinking skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and respond effectively to emergencies.

- Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate varying work schedules, including weekends, night shifts, and holidays.
