Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Assist with procedures such as catheterization and tube feeding
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and documentation guidelines
- Experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Familiarity with hospice palliative medicine and family planning
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
