JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-
Registered Nurse - Medical Trauma
RN - MED TRAUMA
Full-Time
Registered Nurse candidates for the Medical Trauma Unit will have the following job responsibilities:
- As a REGISTERED NURSE in the MEDICAL TRAUMA unit you will provide therapeutic care of patients being treated for cardiac, respiratory, renal, and other conditions.
- You will assess acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, interpreting ECGs, noting arrhythmias, and intervening in emergency situations.
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, cardiac specialists and patient care staff, you will administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the facility.
- During every shift you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions utilizing our computerized documentation systems.
- As a part of the clinical team, you will coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team and participate in patient/family education.
- When dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness, and much more.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Full-Time
Registered Nurse candidates for the Medical Trauma Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
- 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- Must have BLS certification
