WHO WE ARE:
Iron Recovery and Wellness Center, an affiliate of Apis Services, is a substance abuse and dependency recovery organization, which focuses on providing quality care to those who are suffering from addiction and in need of assistance. We are currently seekingRegistered Nurses at our Trenton, NJ location for part time positions.
The primary purpose of the Registered Nurse is to educate clients regarding methadone treatment, along with assessing the clients condition to determine the ability to receive methadone before administering it.
The Registered Nurse must possess the ability to work with clients with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Our Opioid Treatment Program offers medication assisted treatment options for opioid dependence such as Methadone, Subutex and Suboxone.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administration of methadone medication to clients, assure proper recording of dosage and any changes.
- Assesses client's condition and determines client's ability to receive methadone.
- Proper safe guards of methadone accountability.
- Maintains proper client confidentiality.
- Assures client compliance with agency policies relating to methadone medication.
- Works with physician in providing medical services to patients and staff, including physicals, medical.
- Administers PPDs.
- Educates clients regarding treatment.
- Maintains complete and accurate Client Medical Records
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license required, BSN and license preferred or Current New Jersey licensure as an LPN is required.
- Minimum Two years in a Registered Nursing capacity.
- Minimum Two years in Human Services or related field.
- Ability to work every other Saturday.
- Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
- Excellent ability to work with clients with substance abuse and mental health disorders.
- Ability to train and evaluate multiple level support staff.
- Excellent writing skills and record keeping skills.
- Knowledge of medical conditions, psychiatric conditions, and medications.
