Registered Nurse IR Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Interventional Radiology department
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs before, during, and after procedures
- Assist with procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, and stent placements
- Maintain aseptic technique and ensure a sterile environment during procedures
- Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing
- Document patient information, procedures, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Registered Nurse IR Skills:
- Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Experience with specimen collection processing
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding and medical terminology
- Ability to provide care for toddlers in a medical setting
- Competent in airway management techniques
- Understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations
- Knowledge of acute pain management strategies
- Experience working with children in an acute care setting
