About Us:  Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center in Lawton, OK is a community-based center with a primary focus on mental health and substance abuse treatment. The inpatient and outpatient services they provide include special groups and programs for adolescents, persons with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, seniors and older adults, women, men, and criminal justice groups.

About the Position: Change lives and come join a highly skilled multi-discipline team of professionals providing care to the people who need it most! The treatment philosophy is trauma sensitive, co-occurring, person-centered and recovery-oriented in nature. Position is assigned responsibilities for providing direct or indirect professional nursing services for crisis services. This includes providing nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, health related education, case management, and execution of the medical regime including administering medications and treatments prescribed by any person authorized to prescribe by state law.Job Type/Salary:

• Full Time and Temp (Part-Time), Nights.
• Location: Lawton, OK
• Annual Salary for
  • Registered Nurse III: Inpatient $67,000 ($32.21/hr.+)
  • Registered Nurse III: Outpatient $64,000 ($30.77/hr.+)
• $3.00/hr. each Shift differentials when working evening, nights, or weekends
• Primary Working Hours are vary based on the needs of the facility.
• FLSA Status: Exempt

Additional Compensation: Along with our great benefits we also offer addition compensation for working outside of normal business hours! Below is the list of shift differential pay that you can use to boost your hourly pay rate. You can also stack your shift differential pay. For example, working nights on the weekends earns you an extra $6.00 an hour.

• Evening/Nights – extra $3.00 hr.
• Weekends – extra $3.00 hr.
• Holidays – extra $3.00 hr.

On Call: Receive $1.00 per hour when on call.Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Nurse III: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and possession of a valid, permanent Oklahoma license as a Registered Nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or an Associate Degree in Nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; or an Associate Degree in Nursing and three years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.

Special Requirements:

• Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
• Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
