The Department of Public Health (DPH) is recruiting forRegistered Nurses (RN) I and RN II- Clinic- Public Health*who provide direct patient care in Public Health Clinics. Duties include assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical/nursing staff by performing a variety of activities such as taking patient histories; providing patient follow up; performing screening tests; drawing blood; administering prescribed treatment and medication; auditing services of licensed and unlicensed personnel; assessing the need for and providing immunization injections; and instructing, educating, and counseling patients on a variety of health care and medical topics.

Minimum Requirements
RN I and RN II applicants must meet all of the following licensure/certificationrequirements:
Licensure:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (CA BRN).
Certification:
Valid Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate (Course Completion Card) issued by the American Heart Association.
RN II applicants must also possess the following experience requirement:
Experience:
Six (6) months of full-time equivalent experience performing duties as a licensed RN.

- Recruitment Bonus: Eligible employees hired into a regular classified position from this recruitment may be eligible to receive $3,000 in total compensation. Please see CNA MOU for details.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Travel/Driver License: Travel throughout the county is required. Employees will be required to make provision for transportation. At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced for the individual providing the transportation.
