Registered Nurse - Home Care

Our Field Nurses bring care and compassion to BrightStar patients and peace of mind to their families by providing, personalized care to their loved ones. BrightStar is looking for a compassionate, energetic, experienced Field Nurse to provide exceptional care to our patients and their families.

THIS ROLE IS PART-TIME, APPROXIMATELY 20-25 HOURS PER WEEK, VARIED TIMES & LOCATIONS WITHIN MILWAUKEE COUNTY.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 patient care in patient's home or residential facility
• Manage and perform plan of care, consisting of infusions, wound care, etc. for caseloads varying in scope
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, while always maintaining strict confidentiality regarding every patient's individual plan of care
• Able to work independently with patients with varied health and wellness needs; make decisions using critical thinking skills to ensure the best care is provided to every patient
• Perform all treatment and procedures as defined by the Nurse Practice Act
• Adhere to Company policies, procedures and protocols

Qualifications:

• Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin, required
• 2+ years nursing experience, Previous field experience preferred
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to all health and safety practices
• Valid driver's license, required
• Proof of current auto insurance, required
• Current basic life support CPR card, required
• Able to pass TB, drug and pre-hire background screens
• Able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, twist, reach and/or pull as needed
• Able to lift or transfer up to 50 pounds independently or with lift assistance
