Voices for Independence is currently seeking a full-time or per diemRegistered Nurse to provide services within our service area.
As a Registered Nurse with Voices for Independence, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing quality care and support to our consumers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting initial evaluation visits and regularly reevaluating consumer needs
- Administers care in accordance with approved plan of care
- Serving as a valuable resource for consumers and their families, addressing nursing and related health needs
- Providing on-site training for Direct Care Workers in the consumer’s home
- Completing assessments for Health Maintenance Activities
- Actively participating in professional organization and continuing education to enhance practice knowledge and skills
- Ability to travel throughout VFI’s service area (company vehicle available)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse with a current, valid Pennsylvania license
- Skilled in critical thinking, communication, negotiation, and collaboration
- Reliable, independent means of transportation to make home visits. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and drive a vehicle with insurance limits as established by the state. VFI has company vehicles available as well.

- The person selected for this position must establish and maintain an effective liaison with individuals both within and outside VFI. This person must have an empathetic understanding of client population and able to relate to them in a positive and supportive fashion.

Schedule: Typical work week schedule is M-F, 8:30 to 4:30, but flexible scheduling is available to offset occasional visits that fall outside normal office hours.
