Springfield Supportive Living is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team! Our goal is to treat residents and staff like family. SSL is an assisted living style community that serves approximately 100 residents. We are NOT a nursing home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing compassionate care, be knowledgeable about geriatric health issues, and be able to work independently and as par of a team. Shifts are from 7 am- 5 pm, 4 days per week which includes every other weekend.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists.
- Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or assisted living.
- Ability to build rapport with patients.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Springfield Supportive Living opened in 2005. We provide 3 meals per day, housekeeping, laundry and assistance with ADL's. We have nurses 10 hours per day and C.N.A.'s around the clock. Administrative team has been the same since opening in 2005. If you are looking for a change give SSL a try!
