This position is eligible for a $3,750.00 sign on bonus.
The Polyclinic is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy team at the Broadway location is Seattle.
Provide nursing care in the admit, procedure and recovery areas to the patient undergoing an endoscopic procedure and perform additional Charge RN duties when assigned.
Hours: Mon-Fri: Per Diem. Will be required at least 3 shifts a month.
Will provide availability to the Hiring Manager on a monthly basis.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Education Certification/Licensure:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Current licensure in the State of Washington as a registered nurse required
BCLS certification required, ACLS certification obtained within 6 months of hire
Membership and involvement in professional nursing organizations (such as SGNA) preferred
Experience:
Two to five years nursing experience preferred.
Previous endoscopy experience desired.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with all Polyclinic and Endoscopy Center policies and procedures
Review and prepare patient charts and admit patients
Assist physician(s) during procedures
Recover and discharge patients
Maintain a clean and functional work environment at all times
Complete and process all endoscopy paperwork applicable to your assigned work area
Work as a team member within the endoscopy center department and with all other Polyclinic departments
Perform other related duties as assigned including Charge RN role
CHARGE RN SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Maintain and support daily endoscopy center RN duties
Communicate effectively and proactively with the endoscopy Supervisor
Accountable for insuring completion of the start and end Controlled Substance count and the daily distribution of Controlled Substances.
Insure par levels of Controlled Substances are maintained in the endoscopy center.
Monitor and adjust staffing throughout the unit as necessary dependent on census and schedules.
Make or change daily assignments to insure that the department runs effectively.
Verify that all incident reports (if any) are completed by the end of the shift and reported to the endoscopy supervisor per policy.
Assign coverage and/or cover as needed for staff breaks/lunches.
Communicate any staff or personnel concerns to the Supervisor.
Assist supervisor with employee evaluations by providing employee performance feedback when requested.
