Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Emergency Room (ER)Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. As aRegistered Nurse (RN) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. - The location is in Iowa City, Iowa (IA)
- The working schedule for this role is 12hr shifts/3 days per week (days may rotate depending on needs for the week)
- The duration is as a contactor for 13 weeks
- The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
- Holiday coverage is required

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
- Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
- Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments
- Recording patient vital signs and medical information
- Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests
- Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
- Administering non-intravenous medications
- Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members
- Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or master degree in nursing
- Experience in theEmergency Room (ER) as a Registered Nurse
- Pass the National Council Licensure Examination or NCLEX-RN
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse or one recognized by the IBN as valid to practice nursing in the State of Iowa
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR
- ACLS certification
- TNCC certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
- Basic computer skills
- Professional, friendly attitude
- EMR used Allscripts
