Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team on a contract basis in Stafford Springs, CT. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care during critical moments.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing, triaging, and prioritizing patient needs upon arrival to the Emergency Room.
• Administering medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitoring and recording patient vital signs and responses to treatments.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Current RN License in the state of Connecticut.
• BLS, ACLS, & PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications.
• Minimum of one year of experience working in an Emergency Room or critical care setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
