ER RN with Charge experience Clinical Notes: - 7 beds 1 Trauma room,Tele/ED available (Dartmouth) - Psych/ exclusion rooms - # patients: Varies per day, 4,000 patients a year. - Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC (last two preferred) - Only 1 nurse staffed in the ER. Could be a 1:7 ratio however the charge from the medsurg unit would be pulled to help. - EMR: T-sytem, CPSI - Charge experience required - ER tech during the day. No tech on nights - Security/ sitters: No - Panic button and the police department is very responsive. - Weekends: Every 3rd weekend (could be more often as needed) - Holidays: Rotate in with the permanent staff. - Any color scrubs are acceptable as long as they are appropriate and professional. - Mindray monitors- No tech you must be able to read and interpret EKG. - Vents: Newport HT70 - ER MD 24/7, hospitalist during the day on call at night, will come in at night if needed. - Lab draws: Yes, if lab is not available. - No IV team, provider that places PICC lines during the day. Strong IV skills preferred. - RT: No, nurses do all treatments. - Pharmacist available till 3pm. Tele pharmacy on call. Day pharmacist typically has night meds mixed. Might be required to mix meds if new medication is ordered after hours. - Shifts: 7-7:30 - Floating: Yes within facility if needed - 1 shift with a preceptor - Common diagnoses: Anything -This is a very friendly and team oriented facility. You must be willing to have strong team work, and flexibility is a must!
