New Graduate Emergency Department Residency Program

This 1-year program is an exciting opportunity meant for May 2024 BSN graduates looking to launch their career in a fast-paced, stimulating emergency department. The program will include several modes of learning meant to prepare you to work in our Level I ACS Trauma Center for Adults and Level II for Pediatrics.
The program includes: 52-week, 12.5-hour shift. The curriculum consists of classroom didactics, skill labs, simulation labs, a two-week online critical care course, and clinical hours with the Clinical Nursing Educators and preceptors. After the first 16 weeks of the program, the nursing residents are transitioned to a full-time clinical setting with their preceptors, which includes a rotation in the pediatric ED, and a two-week critical care rotation with the Emergency Department critical care nurse.
Prospects:
- May 2024 Graduates from accredited BSN programs.
- Preferred overall GPA 3.3; Nursing GPA 3.5.

Required certification:
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association before the start date.
- Start Date: Sept 2024; contingent on passing NCLEX.
The pay for this position is $49.6592/ hr.
