Registered Nurse (RN) PRN Days With On Call Requirements – Dialysis Unit for Texas Health HEB

Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022

Work hours: PRN Level III/per diem, 6 shifts per 6 week schedule – 0630 to 1900 and requires 1 overnight call or all day call on Sunday per week

We specialize in women's services, perioperative services, heart and vascular care, acute care/med surg, intermediate care/step-down, oncology and emergency medicine. Additional specialties include nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, respiratory therapy, and neuroscience care, including neurosurgery and stroke.

Texas Health HEB is ANCC Magnet Designated, Joint Commission-certified in Chest Pain (PHAC), a Primary Stroke Center, a Level III Trauma Center, Level II NICU and Level III for maternal care. Here's What You Need

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure upon hire required
  • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS – within 90 days required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
  • 1-year experience as a clinical nurse required
  • Current Dialysis experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
