We invite you to apply to be a part of a team that values your growth and commitment to exceptional care Requirements: Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, sports medicine procedures, fractures and trauma, spine and other orthopedic procedures. Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct thorough patient assessments, and monitor vital signs, observe postoperative conditions, and promptly addressing any changes or concerns in patients' health status.
Pain Management: Manage and assess pain levels, consulting with physicians and implementing appropriate interventions and treatments to ensure patient comfort and recovery. Wound Care: Perform dressing changes, wound assessments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure proper healing and prevention of infections. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about postoperative care instructions, medications, rehabilitation exercises, and assistive devices to promote a smooth recovery process.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to established protocols, infection control measures, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
Support: Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families, fostering a caring and empathetic environment during the recovery phase. Skills: Analyzing complex information, utilizing intuition and experience to develop action plans, and adapting to changing situations. Applying advanced knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to recognize deviations and ensure optimal patient care.
Proficiency in using technical equipment and surgical supplies for planning and executing procedures. Complying with evidence-based practice standards and swiftly responding to changing work conditions. Communicating accurate care details effectively, interpreting technical information, and operating sophisticated equipment safely.
Documenting patient care information in systems while ensuring safety and security. Prioritizing patient well-being by maintaining hygiene practices, safeguarding privacy, and adhering to HIPAA regulations during care. Education/Certification requirements Degree in Nursing: Bachelors Preferred Current Colorado Registered Nurse license BCLS & ACLS certification required.
