Registered Nurse - Company Health & Wellness

2nd Shift Occupational Health Registered Nurse needed for a one yearminimum contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known client located in Palmdale, CA. We have another opening in the area for a Nurse Practitioner as well.
This clinic offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees. Interesting job getting to help keep employees healthy and safe at work. Shifts are Monday-Friday 4:00pm to midnight.
Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse license in state of California
• Must have previous experience in: Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, Family Medicine, School Nursing, or Corrections type setting
• Recent clinical experience and strong first-aid skills

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
• Ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye, etc.
• Provide wellness materials/information (health promotion and disease prevention)
• Medical testing such as vitals, EKGs, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, spirometry, vision and hearing screening, etc.
• Provide counseling, health education, and training programs 
• Respond to emergencies onsite and provide emergency medical care as-needed

What You Need to Bring to the Table

• BLS certified
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be comfortable working autonomously as some shifts you may be working on your own in the clinic.
• Preferred Certifications: CAOHC (hearing conservation) & NIOSH (spirometry)
