Registered Nurse - Cardiology

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for providing professional nursing procedural care for both clinic and hospital patients following established standards and practices. Assists providers and staff in coordinating and performing procedural care to include but not limited to: Cardiolite Lexiscan Stress Test, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Exercise Stress Testing, Saline Contrast Echo Studies, Transesophageal Echo, and Tilt Table Testing. Receives direction from: Providers, Directors and Clinical Managers/Supervisors.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of EKG, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac medications, and procedures, required.
• 2 years of cardiac nursing experience, preferred.
• Experience with moderate sedation or ICU experience, preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• RN MT license, required.
• Basic Life Support, required.
• ACLS, required.
• 12 Lead ECG and Cardiac Rhythm interpretation, preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Medical Terminology, required.
• Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures, required.
• Key Boarding Skills, required.
• Basic Office Skills, required.
