- FT position of 72 hours. Shifts are 8 hours with staggered start times at 5:45 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 7:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m.
- Every seventh Saturday 5:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- No Holidays
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for Cardiac and pulmonary Rehabilitation patients.
- Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for pharmaceutical stress testing and conscious sedation procedures for Cardiac Diagnostics and Radiology.
- Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for the Heart Failure program.
- Assists clients with exercise routines and instructions as needed.
- Works with interdisciplinary team to provide patient education.
- Places the patient at the center of care practices.
- Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
- Physical Demands: The position requires a full range of body motion including lifting, bending, squatting, twisting, sitting and standing.
- Must be able to stand or walk for extensive periods of time, must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing in the normal range.
Education/Certifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing BSN preferred.
- Licensed RN.
- Certified: BLS & ACLS
- Certified CCRP preferred.
Experience
- Clinical nursing including 3+ years in acute care, emergency or critical care.
- Demonstrates strong telemetry skills.
- Previous experience working in a Cardiac Rehabilitation program is preferred.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal / written communication skills and displays ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment. Possess the ability to demonstrate and instruct patients on the use of exercise equipment.
- Ability to multi-task and change job duties.
- Must possess strong customer service skills.
