The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Cardiovascular Interventional Laboratory (CVIL) is home to the Cardiac Catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) laboratories. It consists of 12 procedural suites-five dedicated catheterization suites, five dedicated EP suites, one cardiac MRI suite and one cardiac CT suite, all with capabilities to perform cardiac/vascular procedures for adult and pediatric patients. Both the EP and catheterization service lines have hybrid procedure suites, which provide a mutually conducive environment for complex procedures that require the partnership of the interventional and surgical teams. Types of services provided include: cardiac ablation, cardioversion, PPM/AICD placement, lead extraction and revisions, cardiac angiography, balloon pump insertion, TAVR, percutaneous LVAD insertion, peripheral vascular intervention, stress echocardiogram, and stent placement. The nursing team is cross-trained to cover cath and EP procedures.

Shifts: 10 hour day shifts
Qualifications:
• Associate Degree from an accredited nursing program required
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
• ACLS/BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
• Recent ICU RN experience required
On Call required for emergent cases - RNs must be able to arrive to the cath lab within 30 minutes of a page.
