St. Luke’s Health System in Meridian is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Clinical Oncology team.

Unit/Position Summary
St. Luke’s Cancer Institute is seeking an RN that will float between primary RN and triage areas. This RN is a unique position and plays a significant role in supporting the entire clinic. The RN will float within Clinical Oncology to provide coverage as a primary RN for the Medical Oncologists. In addition, excellent critical thinking and assessment skills taking triage calls will be required to evaluate patients of all ages receiving treatment. The RN is the keystone to the complex, high quality, compassionate care that Idaho has come to expect of our organization. Promoting a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude both in the clinic and through the triage process to aid those living with cancer and their families will be essential.
This position is full-time; 0.9 FTE. There is some flexibility with FTE (let's chat if you need something different). Currently, the clinic is not open on weekends. We look forward to meeting you!
Responsibilities:- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments
- Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions
- Manages care of patients
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery
- Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Nursing Degree
- One (1) + years’ RN experience
- Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology experience
- OCN certification
- Strong assessment skills
