Title:Registered Nurse- Behavioural Health Adult Inpatient Nurse
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Duration: 3 Months
Responsibilities:
- Providing treatment plans, which may include medication management, group therapy sessions, in-home counseling sessions, or other forms of treatment
- Performing intake assessments to determine patients' needs and risks for suicide, violence, or self-injury
- Creating and updating treatment plans based on patient progress and compliance with treatment goals
- Coordinating care with other healthcare providers such as psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists
- Teaching patients how to identify triggers that may cause them to act out in ways that are detrimental to their health or safety
- Conducting home visits to patients who are unable to come to the office for treatment sessions
- Providing individual therapy sessions to patients with a variety of mental health issues such as depression or anxiety disorders
- Supporting patients through difficult transitions such as terminations from treatment programs or hospital discharge
- Assisting patients with adhering to treatment plans by encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and monitoring their responses to medication
Required: New York State RN License, Primary Source Verification, AHA BLS
Requirements:
- RN with minimum of 2+ years of recent RN experience and 2+ years of recent in BHA
- The potential nurse must also go through a period of supervised clinical experience
- BLS(AHA); ACLS(AHA)
Education and Training: Registered nurse (RN) by earning a diploma, associate degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited nursing program.
