Description
Positive Leaps is hiring a Registered Nurse for our West Chester location. The Registered Nurse will serve a dual role as both a RN and a Child Behavior Specialist. Provides a safe and therapeutic environment for children in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Positive Leaps.
Pay: $28.00 to $34.00/hour depending on experience.
Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, day shifts.

Essential Duties:
- Manages medication administration to children.
- Oversees the implementation of seclusion and restraint, including assessments and follow-up.
- Active participant in quality programs.
- Provides a safe, structured learning environment.
- Interact with children, families, and other staff members in a professional, positive manner.
- Exhibits flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing therapeutic environment.
- Implements Positive Leaps model of care and curriculum.
- Implements treatment goals and objectives as developed by Program Coordinator.
- Prepares, updates, and maintains documentation and children's clinical data.
- Communicates treatment progress and other relevant information to Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to provide essential feedback to others including peers and Supervisors.
- Shows strong leadership skills and assists with other classroom needs as they arise.
- Must be able to work with all ages of children.
- Documentation and billing:
- Complies with Ohio laws.
- Complies with requirements of 3rd party payers.
- Complies with all Positive Leaps policies and procedures for clinical documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- BSN Registered Nurse with unrestricted Ohio nursing license.
- Must be at least 22 years of age.
- Must be able to work with all ages of children.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a very active environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass a vigorous background check.
Exposures and Risks:
- Potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Works directly with physically aggressive children.
- Exposed to loud noise, such as repeated and prolonged screaming and crying.
