National healthcare leader seeking RN for either days, or nights, on a Post Op bariatric surgery floor
What you will be doing:
• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of postoperative bariatric surgery patients, monitoring vital signs, pain levels, and overall recovery progress.
• Care Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized care plans, including pain management, mobility exercises, and nutritional support tailored to the unique needs of bariatric surgery patients.
• Patient Education: Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families on postoperative care, including dietary guidelines, wound care, and the importance of adherence to medical recommendations.
• Overflow Medical-Surgical Patients: Manage overflow medical-surgical patients, addressing their needs with a focus on adapting care strategies for those who may not have undergone bariatric surgery but require attentive nursing care.
Skills you need:
• Inpatient experience required
• RN License, or eligibility to obtain
