Job title: Registered Nurse Ambulatory Infusion RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse Ambulatory Infusion RN to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving Ambulatory Infusion therapy. As a crucial member of the healthcare team, you will ensure the safe administration of medications and monitor patient responses while maintaining optimal patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess patients' physical and psychological conditions prior to infusion therapy.
2. Administer prescribed medications and fluids via intravenous or other approved routes.
3. Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their responses to infusion therapy, promptly reporting any adverse reactions or complications.
4. Document patient care accurately and efficiently using electronic medical records.
5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure treatment plans are implemented effectively.
6. Educate patients and their families on the purpose, potential side effects, and self-care measures related to infusion therapy.
7. Maintain a clean and organized environment in the infusion center, ensuring equipment is properly calibrated and functioning.
8. Perform phlebotomy and obtain laboratory specimens for diagnostic testing as required.
9. Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards.
10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
11. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in infusion therapy and participate in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license from an accredited nursing program.
2. Minimum of [X] years of experience in an Ambulatory Infusion setting preferred.
3. Proficient in administering intravenous medications and fluids.
