Overview:
The NRHS Oklahoma Headache Center is a nationally renowned Migraine/Headache treatment center located in Norman, OK. The group is comprised of two physicians and three Advanced Practice providers that would work closely with the new nurse practitioner everyday. The NRHS Oklahoma Headache Center's goal is to treat each and every patient like a VIP and to serve our patients at excellence. Responsibilities:
  • The Nurse Practitioner provides medical management of migraine/headache and associated symptoms (assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment) for patients with physician supervision. This could include the occasional general neurology patient but at least 90% of the practice would be migraine/headache patients.
  • Evaluates patient and obtains pertinent information for the diagnosis and treatment of the medical problem.
  • Orders further testing and refers to other medical providers as necessary for the appropriate medical management of the patient.
  • Documents appropriately in the EMR and completes all necessary forms and correspondence for proper patient care in a timely manner.
  • Fosters the development of staff to fulfill the current and future requirements of individuals and the organization.
  • Provides a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:
Education
  • Nurse Practitioner Degree
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Related Neurology/Specialty care experience preferred
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification
  • Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing with Family Medicine certification
  • Must meet credentialing requirements of Norman Regional
  • eClinical Works medical heath record experience a plus but not required
  • Great patient care and positive attitude
