Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse to work 4-10 shifts per week, Weekdays. We offer a generous sign-on bonus and benefits. The Registered Nurse on the Physician's operations team is responsible for delivering outstanding clinical/nursing care for persons with mental illness and substance use disorders in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate should have strong nursing skills, be highly collaborative, be able to work autonomously and enjoy working with complex systems. Preferred candidates must have previous experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders.
$7,000 Sign On Bonus Available! *Not eligible for internal employees and re-hired employees within 90 days from separation.
Based on full time (40 hours/week). Prorate if less than 40 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on first paycheck, 50% on paycheck following 6-month anniversary.
Salary for this role. Starting wage is based on licensure and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.
- $35.84 - $43.14 hourly
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *rate depends on language requirements for the position and candidate's fluency.
- Will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis for all hours worked (excluding non-productive hours paid but not worked, e.g., paid time off, holiday, administrative, etc.) in an amount equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), to a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year. *the annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full time equivalency (FTE).
About the team.
Our Adult Intensive Services division is made up of several programs that provide daily, specialized support to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, while maintaining ties to their family and community.
Responsibilities:
- Support the clinical functions of the medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to physician/prescriber.)
- Perform nursing interventions for which an RN/LPN has been trained to do.
- Observe, identify and monitor condition of patient, including changes in symptoms, and relates same to appropriate members of the treatment team.
- Administer injections and medications, as required.
- Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate.
- Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
- In a timely manner, accurately and completely chart interventions, lab results, medications dispensed and all activities related to patient interactions according to organization's procedures.
- Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
- Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
- Staff member will monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the clients care team.
Requirements:
- Associate's in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.**
- Preferred: one year of relevant clinical experience.**
- Licensure: Active State of Colorado Registered Nursing License.
- Ability to administer medications and injections.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Ability to take directives
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record.
