Summary
Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing patient care in accordance with established standards and skill competency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a current license or a temporary practice permit to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Appropriate clinical experience with a thorough knowledge of the scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards, developed skill in delivering nursing care, and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
- A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
- The ability to successfully complete a competency-based orientation and annual competency testing of skills and/or knowledge necessary to provide care to specific patient populations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years of clinical experience in obstetrics/gynecology, or a related field.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Previous Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Level 2 Nursery experience.
