Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, promoting and maintaining patients' health, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver the highest quality of care. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in assessing patients, implementing appropriate nursing interventions, and evaluating outcomes. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to promoting patient well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on patients by gathering and analyzing relevant information from medical records, physical examinations, and direct patient interviews.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on the assessed needs and priorities of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
- Monitor patients' progress, observe and report any changes in their condition, and modify care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families on health issues, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Adhere to legal, ethical, and professional standards of nursing practice, maintaining patient confidentiality and advocating for patients' rights.
- Stay informed about current best practices and evidence-based guidelines in nursing, and actively participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current RN license in KY.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational health.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing healthcare.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
