Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse (RN) Long Term Care, Springville, NY

• Full Time. Days. Weekend rotations are required.
• Part Time. Days or Nights. Weekend rotations are required.

Compensation is based on experience starting at $36.00 up to $40.00 per hour with applicable. Sign-On Bonus - $5000

As a key member of our patient care team, the RN is a professional nurse leader providing direction and guidance in the delivery of care. Including but not limited to:

• Managing adequate staffing levels including call-offs to ensure necessary staff levels are maintained.
• Assisting Unit Managers; evaluating nursing staff through observation, assessment studies, and review of attendance and performance records and nursing documentation; conducting meetings, such as Nursing Management, and Staff meetings
• Perform rounds; perform annual health updates on staff and volunteers; complete resident nursing assessments and Resident Care Plans
• Participate in Quality Assurance Program; promote compliance in all aspects, participate in pilot programs to improve delivery of resident care, assist in orientation of new employees; remain current in knowledge and skills.
• Investigating employee & Resident incident reports

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provides direct supervision to Registered Nurses (RN’s), Licensed Professional Nurses (LPN’s), Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA’s), Nursing Assistant Trainees and Unit Secretaries.

Knowledge of 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East (SEIU) and New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) contracts and Bertrand Chaffee Hospital and Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home Handbook.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) from a four-year college or university preferred; or Associates Degree (A.A.) from two-year college or Nursing School with three (3) years of clinical nursing experience within the past five (5) years.
