Oklahoma Men’s Clinic - RN
The original Oklahoma Men’s Clinic has an immediate opening for an experienced Registered Nurse [RN] to provide clinical oversight, monitoring, and instruction to Medical Assistants in our Oklahoma Clincs. You will play a key role in the delivery of state-of-the-art medical care in support of our physicians. Each day, you will help new and continuing patients navigate their treatment programs to great results and ensure our clinical staff consistently follow sound nursing practices at all times. You will also be asked to provide excellent patient and staff education with all of the therapies we offer.
Our clinics provide state of the art alternative therapies for erectile dysfunction, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, weight loss treatments and more.
Report to: Senior Practice Manager
Status: Full time 8:30 – 5:00pm Monday – Friday. W-2
Location: The Oklahoma Men’s Clinic
Salary: $35 per hour with full benefits and PTO
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide and assist with patient assessments and recommend therapies as directed.
· Administer vital signs, InBody BMI, EKGs among others.
· Perform procedures such as blood draws, SQ and IM Injections, IVs as needed, specimen collection, operate our new Lab Analyzer and others within the RN Scope of Practice.
· Draw medications accurately for patients. Monitor and document medication administration and compliance as directed.
· Provide clinical support during physician procedures as directed.
· Become a subject matter expert on the conditions seen and therapies advocated by the Clinic.
· Document all care in the EMR properly and record controlled drugs in logs completed daily.
· Accountable for controlled drug inventory, security and compliance.
· Inventory medications daily for expiration dates. Destroy any expired medications properly.
· Ensure unit safety and infection control is maintained throughout the shift through tasks, including but not limited to decontaminating medical equipment, sanitizing surfaces, etc.
· Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients.
· Uphold all HIPAA and OSHA requirements and ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws, regulations and guidelines.
· Operate the Crash Cart as necessary following physician orders and ACLS protocols.
· Set the example of great teamwork and positive team communications at all times.
· Review and develop detailed clinical standards, protocols, procedures and training for medical assistants per our Medical Director.
· Teach and train staff as needed.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required:
· Current unrestricted RN license.
· 3 years clinical experience.
· Clinical training/teaching experience a plus.
· Valid ACLS, CPR and CPI certifications.
· Reliable attendance mandatory.
· Patient education experience a plus.
· Valid Oklahoma driver's license and reliable transportation.
· Great teamwork skills required.
· Must have recent and active experience with basic nursing procedures: Injections, IVs, Blood Draws, Assessments and more.
· Support physician orders accurately at all times.
