Shift: Nights 19:00-07:00
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48
Assignment Length: 8-26 weeks
Required Licensure: Current RN License (Meets the criteria to be eligible for licensure in state of Missouri or currently licensed in the state of Missouri.)
Required Certifications: BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (may be submitted without, but must obtain prior to start)
Required Experience: 1 year Tele
Preferred Experience: 1 year Neuro
Must be willing to float when needed
MUST BE FULLY COVID AND FLU VACCINATED TO BE SUBMITTED - NO EXCEPTIONS

Call Requirements- None
Float Requirements- To other MedSurg Units
Patient Ratios: varies. Days 1:5-1:6, nights 1:6-1:7. We do not guarantee ratios. Careful consideration is given depending on the circumstances.
Equipment- Tele, Lift equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps

Must Have Skills/Experience- MedSurg, Tele, BLS
Scrub Color – Black
Any unacceptable attire - Anything but black scrubs
Number of beds: 32
Type of Patients on Unit: Neuro, Med, Med tele
Overview: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Client Code of Conduct, Client Mission and Values and Client Service Standards.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
